Style Over Substance: The Happening is a Hitchcockian Nightmare. How does it relate to travel?

Drawing upon a very strange year in film, one of the many obscure citations in a pool of rhetorical bandwagoning and the hailing of M. Nights, “The Happening,” is to bold an idea to be taken seriously as a film. What? Between Spielberg and Hitchcock, Shyamalan’s primary influences yields an insiders view on style over substance. The movie wasn’t bad but was lacking in a certain recherche.

Much like the New Hot, developing around Tourism KL and the “wanting to be seen,” thing that emerged roughly 20 years ago and still holding up at break neck speeds, More and more Middle Easterners are flocking to the KL City Centre searching for new places to haunt, money to spend and looking ever so dapper and enchanting it both gander and dignity. Yes, it is very enrichening… but also indulgent. Why travel to be seen, you say?

Well get this, of the holiday destination spots in the world, Malaysia is ranked 9th in the world for tourists arrivals annually and has be carrying on this way since 2017, as cited by Wikipedia.org.

Fresh or Dirty, Ladies or Gents, wanting to be seen is not just about spending money in the latest craziest tourism hotspot since sliced bread, it is also the new hot! The question to me is about whether style is in fact more evident or is the substance lacking? As it serves, there is now a ceasefire in one of the only two wars now being waged and people in the middle east have come to a standstill and called out by President Joe Biden to a ceasefire. A momentary peace across the globe situation, while the best of the crop are here enjoying themselves and yes again… looking well fresh and as a daisy. It is a good thing to be have some form of peace of mind surrounding all the suffering in the world alleviated, at least for the time being. Final Thought: Let’s take Malaysian Values and our necessity to get along as a fervent march toward a marginalized world. #thisisus #ifwecanwewill #marginalizedearth. Oh one more thing… Let’s all stand around dying from over consumption of Carbon Dioxide. DOH!!
