Today I am going to let you in on a little secret, something I realized while attending film school. Now we want to go what is good to catch in the likes of foreign cinema while vacationing in different countries across the world. The UK is in highlight today and we will be talking about Great Films Dedicated to DvD`s and committed onto the shelves in your local town centre along the high-street in any given town square in the UK.
So here are some classics I have found in my day while residing in Farnham UK. Sanity Video is to Speedy Video the best in diversified content from Tv Shows and the latest in “different” types of media surrounding the purchasing the latest in zombie classics made by the BBC to the circalit writing lab… a favoured genre around these parts. From In the Flesh to Shallow Grave and other monster movies like Dog Soldiers there should enough here to tantalise your cinematic taste buds for many an hour.
Other favourites include Planet of the Apes and anything from the USA signifying war as cinematic. It all is a farce at the end of the day, but the movies are the movies and they are often skewed toward the current rhetorical harangues that go on in pubs and other drinking bins in the Surrey Area.
So here is a list of Uk Favourites from my alma mater’s “posse,” Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Terminator 1 & 2, Blade Runner, Raging Bull, Trainspotting, Mike Bassett: England Manager, Taxi Driver, Witness, Unforgiven, Edward Scissorhands, just to place it into perspective. They do love their science fiction and deconstructed narratives. It all works so long as it isn’t “Star Wars 1, 2 & 3… so to speak, the big question about Farnham where I studied happens to be: What is the difference? #findyourowntruth
