The Very Best in Travel Movies

One thing most travel movies have in common are the overarching themes of romance… but of course, if romance is not your thing, maybe adventure and self-discovery are other options you may want to explore, as you turn your round trip across Europe into a soiree of the unfamiliar. Just think, the in-flight movie could be the inspiration for your next stop.

As you may have already been thinking, planning your trip before you actually buckle up and tune in to the latest in holiday-themed in-flight entertainment, watching a bunch of these movies before you embark on your holiday may not be such a bad idea.

One thing is for sure, while on the plane or planning your next trip, do know what you are looking for. Really, don’t shrug it off as just some movie, but instead be motivated, know what you want and be inspired.

The motorcycle diaries, The secret life of Walter Mitty, The Beach, Lost in translation, The Darjeeling Limited, Before Sunrise, Eat Pray Love, Before Sunset, Up in the air are all inspiring movies with travel as a central theme behind it’s story, but they are all motivated by very different things.

From Walter Mitty’s shy, suburban candor secretly crying out for a means to break out of his shell to Before Sunrise, the off-screen movie desperately trying to tell us that love is just around the corner… and in an exotic location too no doubt, they all speak of one thing. The spirit of exploration!

So the next time you catch an in-flight movie, don’t forget what you are looking for at your next stop.
